LORE
In the distance, great pillars rise among ruins of a desolate and disposed age. A thick coating of black ooze sticks to the semblance of forgotten nobility. This land, a once thriving culture built on unity and progress, now lays rotting among an empire of decay. This is the Corrective Advance. Nothing here is alive in the natural sense, the Corrective themselves are all once dead beings who were brought back to life. The source of this power stems from the black blood that all Corrective beings share. This incredible blood keeps its hosts alive even after wounds that would kill any mere mortal and if the blood gets in you, there is no cure. You become one of them.
The Corrective have no real government to speak of. Barely even a hierarchy outside of their one true leader, and a couple gods who joined their ranks. However, the whole nation is vigorously loyal to their leader, Set'On. Set'On is the source of all black blood, and all who bare it lead back to him. Not much is known about Set'On's origin, or that of his infamous blood, only that his reach grows steadily each day, creeping slowly into the lands of neighboring nations. It is said, that once the black ick covers the ground, it can raise the bodies of any dead buried there. Whether this rumor is true or not, many nations have taken special precautions just in case by mandating the cremation of their dead rather than the common burial.
The land on which the Corrective Advance as a nation lies was once the great Kingdom built by Leonus, the Creator of Conquest. In Leonus's lifetime he brought together the warring tribes of these lands to form the first collective nation state. In its time, the nation prospered economically and culturally, becoming known as one of the greatest civilizations known to mortal and god alike. However, one day it all came crashing down at the hands of Leonus's own daughter, Shinri (Known as the Creator of Corruption). There aren't many records of this great kingdom's fall, but from its ashes rose the Corrective Advance. On the throne that once brought strangers together, and made allies out of enemies, sits Set'On with his legion of unliving, unthinking reminders of Leonus's great nation, crumbled to dust at the hands of betrayal.
THE CORRECTIVE: IN GAME
In the card game of Godsend, the corrective focus on bringing back units that have died, and converting enemies to their side. The corrective use their stockpile (discard pile) frequently as a resource in order to get a leg up on the opponent. With incredibly resilient units, and the ability to manipulate your opponent's resources, the corrective is the master of the long game. If you aren't quick enough, it'll be only a matter of time before the power of Set'On's legions overtake you.
